What is Clinical EFT?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), commonly referred to as "tapping," is an integrative psychophysiological approach that is resulting in increasing scientific interest for its effectiveness in mental health and emotional well-being. EFT incorporates elements of cognitive therapy and exposure therapy, combining them with acupressure, in the form of fingertip tapping on specific acupressure points. Recent advancements in EFT research have expanded our understanding of its mechanisms and efficacy.
There is a building list of clinical trial research, including meta analyses and systematic reviews. Comparison trials show Clinical EFT to be as effective as gold standard therapy approaches, but often it achieves the same outcomes in less time (sessions).
Evidence Based EFT maintains a comprehensive, and up to date list of all the research to date, grouped by topic. You can access below. All links to the peer-reviewed journals are provided.
