Read About the Manual
Daisy Chaining
Daisy Chaining is a metaphor which describes the process by which the client works on a series of aspects of an issue or problem, moving organically from events to emotions to beliefs in whichever order they arise. This features on page 54 of the manual.

The Cooking Analogy
The Basic Recipe and Full Basic Recipe are the two foundational techniques of EFT. The word “recipe” in both refers to their many uses in EFT, similar to the way mirepoix in French cooking forms the basis of almost every recipe for soups, stews, and sauces. This features on page 64 of the manual.

Full Basic Recipe
This graphic outlines how the 9 Gamut Procedure is included in the longer version of the Clinical EFT process (which is called the “Full Basic Recipe”). This features on page 66 of the manual.

Tap and Breathe
For Tap and Breathe, you are either tapping as you normally do, while focusing on the emotion or thought, just not speaking, or going more slowly, connecting a comfortable breath with each tapping point. This features on page 68 of the manual.

Tap (Rant) and Tap
The Talk / Rant and Tap techniques encourage the client to freely talk or rant about their issue. No specific Setup is needed, just continuous expression and tapping. This in on page 69 of the manual.

Tell the Story
When the client has a specific event that has an overall intensity of less than 10/10, is only a few minutes long with at least one emotional crescendo or “point of intensity,” that they are able to talk about, you can use Tell the Story technique. This features on page 71 of the manual.

The (Silent) Movie Technique
When the client has a specific event that has an overall intensity of less than 10/10, is only a few minutes long with at least one emotional crescendo or “point of intensity,” that they are NOT able to talk about – then use the Silent Movie Technique. This features on page 78 of the manual.

Tearless Trauma Technique
This technique is for when a client is ready to work on the event but has trouble thinking about it without being overly triggered. This features on page 88 of the manual.

Chasing the Pain Technique
This technique can be used for somatic symptoms and literal pain, by focusing on the client's physical pain. It is particularly effective for clients who express emotional issues through physical pain. This features on page 94 of the manual.

The Bullseye Metaphor
In Evidence Based EFT we use a metaphor of a bullseye to illustrate where the various techniques sit in relation to each other in terms of how directly we are targeting what we are tapping on. This features on page 106 of the manual.

Fingernail Points
Alongside each nail bed, where your fingernail touches the skin, is an acupressure point. These acupressure points are on all fingers and thumbs, on each side. This features on page 109 of the manual.

Additional Tapping Points
While Clinical EFT uses 8 main acupoints, there are many others. The additional points feature on page 113 of the manual.

Tapping Points for Children
Younger children (less than 10 years), often only need to use four points instead of the standard eight. These feature on page 114 of the manual.
