Grandfathering Process

You must be fully certified or accredited by one of the below EFT organisations in order to apply for premium accreditation with Evidence Based EFT.

You will need to have been trained by a known organisation and the three we recognise include:

• EFT International
• EFT Universe
• Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology

You must have your certificates from your training and be able to provide these.

If you have trained outside these bodies, we encourage you to retrain through the standard EBEFT process. We do not accept applications from pre-recorded online programs such as Udemy, Centre of Excellence or similar.

Each application is decided on merit, so the more information you can provide, the better. There is an application fee and this is non-refundable regardless of outcome.

The application and submission fee is AU$500 and this includes:

• Review of your application - as of 2025 this includes an online interview with one of the EBEFT Trainers
• The fee for the ethics exam (whether or not you need to do this, see application).
• Listing on the EBEFT website as an approved practitioner
• 30 days complimentary access to EFT HQ (our education platform)

There is a yearly renewal fee of AU$297 to remain listed on the site and you are required to provide evidence of 6 hours of professional development in the field of EFT. The EFT HQ platform does count towards this.

As each applicant is considered separately, you may be required to complete the following after we review your application:

• Complete further EFT training to meet the EBEFT requirements, such as but not limited to the EBEFT Trauma training workshop
• Pass an online ethics exam
• Complete further mentoring (individual and/or group) with an EBEFT Trainer or Mentor which may include: 
  • Submitting video sessions with yourself as a practitioner, reviewed via screenshare with a Mentor
  • Submitting written client session notes, reviewed with a Mentor
  • Attending 3 – 6 group mentoring sessions

 Please note that EFT trainings and mentoring will be charged separately to this application fee.

Grandfathering at the Advanced Level

Evidence Based EFT offers grandfathering when a practitioner has been trained by a known organisation and the three we recognise include:

• EFT International
• EFT Universe
• Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology

If a practitioner is recognised at an advanced or expert level by one of the above training organisations, they may also apply for grandfathering with EBEFT at the Advanced Practitioner level once they have first grandfathered in at the foundational EBEFT Practitioner level. 

The fee is AU$1000 (this is an intensive review process) and this includes:

• Review of your application - as of 2025 this includes an online interview with one of the EBEFT Trainers
• Listing on the EBEFT website as an approved practitioner
• A years's complimentary access to EFT HQ (our education platform)

There is a yearly renewal fee of AU$297 to remain listed on the site and you are required to provide evidence of 30 hours of professional development in the field of EFT. The EFT HQ platform does count towards this.
