Mentoring Resources for Accreditation

This page contains your mentoring and accreditation process for Evidence Based EFT. Please take note of the steps involved. Before you start, complete the Intention to Complete Premium Accreditation Form, then you can engage your first mentor. The Code of Conduct document you need to agree too is here to read.

You can begin mentoring after the EBEFT Practitioner Training but must start with the session note individual mentoring only (you cannot complete the group mentoring until after your EBEFT Trauma Training). You can also start your own 13-hour tapping self work.

It is recommended that trainees complete the EBEFT Trauma Training within 3-6 months of the EBEFT Practitioner Training, to be able to integrate EFT into their ongoing clinical practice.

Completion (and an achievement of competence) of the accreditation process results in access to the EBEFT accreditation logo, and use of the title Accredited Evidence Based EFT Practitioner.  Listing on the accredited practitioners web page is included. Ongoing continuing education (see below) is required every year to maintain this listing on the website.

Note: EFT workshop training fees do not include the mentoring fees – these are to be negotiated with the mentor directly.

Post EFT training Mentoring for Accreditation Process

Those completing the Premium Accreditation program are also required to complete:

  • 16 hours mentoring hours (10 hours of individual and 6-hours group supervision)
  • 50 session notes (48 written) - please note that no more than 3 sessions can be completed with the same 'client'
  • 13 hours of tapping self work (see below)
  • 2 x Video Practice Client Sessions (reviewed in mentoring)

The following mentoring sessions are mandatory for those seeking Premium Accreditation in Evidence Based EFT. They are also available as optional training for previously trained EFT practitioners or health professionals.

Overview of Mentoring Hours/Sessions

Note: Mentors may be the original Trainer, but they may also be selected from the approved Mentor list on the EBEFT website. Mentoring below must be divided between 2 mentors. A third mentor must be engaged for half of the group mentoring (being one of the trainers - initially). This allows for a wider variety of skill and supervision experience.

After registering for accreditation, please contact one of the mentors directly to engage in the first 3 mentoring sessions.

Group mentoring dates are available on the Training page. You may wish to start your mentoring with the Trainer who originally delivered your training.

Mentors have the ability to change the order of how these modules are used - e.g. they may like to see session notes prior to a video being reviewed.

If you begin mentoring before you have completed the 2 day Trauma training, you need to start with Mentoring 3 and session note review only - the videos cannot be completed until after the Trauma training.
