The Process for Premium Accreditation

Mentoring, Self Work, Registration, Insurance, Costs & Code of Conduct

The steps and requirements for accreditation depend on whether you are registering for the Accredited Practitioner level or the Accredited Advanced Practitioner level. Please familiarise yourself with the contents of the specific page on this website, relating to each level.

Accredited Practitioner
Everyone has to accredit at this level first. If you have not already accredited with EBEFT Premium Accreditation, then this is the level you must register for.
If you have already attended our EBEFT Practitioner workshop within the last 12-18 months, you can begin the rest of the accreditation journey. If it has been longer, or you haven’t yet taken this first 3 day/21 hour workshop, see the Training for Practitioners page under the EFT Trainings menu to register for your first workshop. For those that have already done the workshop but farther back than 18 months ago, there are options for reviewing at 50% of the regular fee.

Once you have taken the workshop, within the past 18 months, register your Intent to Complete Accreditation (using the form below). During this process, you will be asked to agree to the Evidence Based EFT Code of Conduct (found here) and choose your first mentor (from this list of approved mentors). No payment will be required at this time, but you must reach out to your proposed mentor and inform them of your intent to accredit. Your mentor will make sure you have everything you need to begin the process.

Accredited Advanced Practitioner
Accredited Practitioners who wish to further their Clinical EFT studies by pursuing an advanced level of training must also register the Intention to Complete Accreditation within one year of taking the Advanced Practitioner 3 day/21 hour workshop.

To qualify to enter the Advanced Practitioner training, you must wait at least 6 months after accrediting at the Practitioner Level. This does not mean you can’t take the Advanced Practitioner workshop or start accumulating the required Speciality Workshop attendance hours, just that you will not be able to begin the mentoring part of the process until the 6 months has passed. Just make sure you begin the mentoring within 1 year from the date of the Advanced Practitioner workshop.

Further detail about the requirements for each level of accreditation can be found further down this page.

Register Your Intention to Complete Accreditation

To begin your mentoring journey for Accreditation, complete this form and the mentors’ emails will be displayed for you to make contact and get started!

Note: It is important that you read and agree to the Code of Conduct at this link. Please do so now, before proceeding. Your registration will not be finalised until you have agreed to the Code of Conduct in the online form.

After completing the form and clicking the Register button below it, email your first mentor directly to ask if they are available. Usually, your workshop trainer is your first mentor but if they are not available you may choose a mentor who is not a trainer for your first mentor, and then a trainer for your second mentor. The third (and fourth if you wish) can be either trainers or mentors.

Mentoring Resources for Accreditation

The below steps for each level of Premium Accreditation have been carefully designed to ensure a thorough and logical progression through the techniques and concepts you will need to understand and demonstrate in order to be eligible for the accreditation level you intend to achieve.

Completion (and an achievement of competence) of the accreditation process results in access to the relevant EBEFT accreditation logo, and use of the title Evidence Based EFT Accredited Practitioner or Evidence Based EFT Accredited Advanced Practitioner. Listing on the accredited practitioners web page is included. Both levels of accreditation require ongoing continuing education every year to maintain this standing and your listing on this website.

Note: EFT workshop fees do not include the mentoring fees – these are to be negotiated with the mentor directly.

You may take the Advanced Practitioner workshop at any time but you must wait 6 months to register for the mentoring part of the process. This is to ensure that advanced practitioners have established a foundation of regular use of EFT with clients before they embark on the next stage of training.

Insurance

While completing Premium Accreditation, Trainees are highly recommended to seek student insurance for EFT. Please note that licensed health professionals are not ordinarily covered for EFT by their existing insurance policies. The cost for Accreditation (not including workshops and mentoring) is:

AU$1000 for Accredited Practitioner level and includes:

  • The Ethics Exam - you may attempt this up to 3 times - a fee of AU$99 is payable if you sit the exam prior to applying for Accreditation and this discount is applied to the final fee after you pass the exam (Accredited Practitioner Level)
  • Listing on the EBEFT Premium Accredited Practitioner page

Other Requirements

A trainee must engage in tapping self work that is not the Personal Peace Procedure - (3 x 1-hour sessions as a client with a certified practitioner who is not the mentor, and 5 x 1 hour swap sessions and 5 x self-tapping sessions of minimum 30 minutes.

These sessions all need to be logged and submitted to original trainer or mentor for review (template is provided). Please note the trainee may have to pay the practitioner they consult for sessions (these do not need to be EBEFT Trainers or mentors – but they do need to meet at least the levels: EFT International certified or EFT Universe certified).

These sessions are not part of the 48 session notes above as they are not practice sessions in the role of practitioner.

 ■          Total = 13 sessions as a client

EFT Techniques Sample Sessions - write several case studies (a page or two) describing the use of a technique in detail – Mentor will prescribe up to 3 techniques based on the mentoring sessions above (i.e., after any gaps have been identified).

Online Ethics Exam – this cannot be attempted until after the Mentoring 3a and 3b is completed. It can be attempted before Mentoring 4a and 4b or the group mentoring. A pass rate of 80% is required and multiple attempts are allowed.

It is recommended that trainees complete the EBEFT Trauma Training within 3-6 months of the EBEFT Practitioner Training, to be able to integrate EFT into their ongoing clinical practice.

Trainees must complete the entire accreditation within 24 months from the initial start date of EFT training.
